m. Monday. with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Morgan, a native of the Ebenezer section, died at the home of her sister, Mrs.

James Spell, in Crowley at 10:25 a. m. Sunday. Mrs. Morgan was born April 24, 1904, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Neville Hoffpauir. She grew up in that section of the country, attending the Indian Bayou high school. She was married to Morgan on August 26, 1922, and came to Ebenezer, where she lived for the remainder of her lifetime. Mrs.

Morgan was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and was active in the work of the church at Ebenezer, serving as Sunday School teacher. She was very popular in that community and enjoyed the highest esteem and regard of her neighbors. Surviving besides her husband are six sons, Herbert, Farrell, Thermon, Sheron, Rayford and Herman Morgan, and two daughters, Helen Joy and Shelby Jean Morgan; two sisters, Mrs. James Spell of Crowley and Mrs. Sol Morgan of Humble City; three brothers, Leamon Hoffpauir of Ebenezer, Bruce Hoffpauir of Indian Bayou, and Norris Hoffpauir of Crowley.

The Geesey-Ferguson funeral home of Crowley was in charge of arrangements. Lucas of the Crowley High school, registration figures remain practically the same as last year, with but a slight increase noted. The increase at the school, he said, will not set any record enrollment, since at one time, in 1939, well over 500 high school students in the four standard grades were in attendance.

The total enrollment at the school was given as 412, and includes grades eight through twelve. The eighth grade alone has 112 students listed, he said. Figures from '45 showed at the end of the first month of operation 420 students in attendance with 114 of the number being the eighth grade. Broken down into its grades, Lucas said that 112 students were in the eighth grade this year, 101 in the ninth, 51 in the theoretica oflf-year tenth grade, 72 in the eleventh and 76 in the senio: year. The school year has started its complete operation as of Tuesday, said the principal, and the classes have not been worked out as to size.

All equipment has been distributed, and the regular instruction is underway. Lucas also announced that the season football general admission tickets for all games will be on advance sale at Wager's Pharmacy and will be handled there throughout the season.
