The lace covered refreshment table, was centered with a bowl or'yellow chrysanthemums, and at one end was a crystal punch while at the other was a three-tiered, wedding cake topped with a bride and groom.

To the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march the bride entered on the arm of her father who gave her in marriage. She was lovely in a gown of white slipper satin styled with a fitted bodice, buttoned down the back with tiny self-covered buttons and fashioned with a deep yoke of net from which fell wide folds of satin edged with lace. The sleeves, full at the top, formed a point over the wrists. The hoop skirt was edged with, lace and ended in a long train.

Her finger-tip veil of illusion, fell from a crown of orange blossoms, and she carried a crystal rosary and a white bridal orayer book on which there was an arrangement of tuber roses centered with an orchid with long satin-streamers. Mrs. Charles J. Lstre, sister of the bride, as matron of honor, and her only other attendant, Miss Mildred Broussard, wore identical gowns of blue and pink taffeta. The gowns were styled with fitted bodice and full skirts which were bustle effect in the back.

They, wore-matching bonnets of net trimmed with satin bows in the back. The bouquets were, old-fashioned nosegays of pink mums. The adorable little flower girl, Lorraine Broussard, wore a dainty white gown of with ruffled skirt and basque waist. She: wore a white bonnet, identical to the attendants and carried tiny white mums in an old-fashioned nosegay. Edward Adams was ring bearer.

He wore a navy blue suit and carried a white satin heart-shaped pillow to which the rings were tied. Elton Doucet of Kaplan was best man and Curley Dartez, brother of the groom, served as groomsman. Adding a. beautiful touch were the usherettes. Misses Gertrude Leger and Lou Ella Mire.

Miss Leper wore a blue net formal and Miss Mire, a green net formal, with, matching, bonnets. The reception was held immediately after the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. The bride's mother wore a dove gray crepe gown with blue sequin trim, and she received the guests. Mrs. Richard wore a corsage of white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Dartez, mother of the grocm. assisted Mrs. Richard, and she chose a black crepe gown with gold trim and wore a corsage of white chrysanthemums. The reception rooms were decorated, with- beautiful arrangements, of white chrysanthemums placed at vantage points, The.

bridal table was lovely centered with a three-tiered wedding cake trimmed in white confection roses and silver leaves and topped, with -a' miniature-bride: and groom. The cake was flanked with chrystal candelabra bearing stately white tapers. At one end of the table was the chrystal punch service with Miss Gertrude Leger presiding. Assisting in the dining room and throughout the house were Mesdames Frank Adams, Dennis Richard, Whitney Broussard, Avelia Leger, Louis Cormier and Dewitt Breaux. The bride chose a lovely blue gabardine suit with pink blouse for travel.

Her accessories were black and her hat was trimmed with ostrich plumes. Mrs. Dartez graduated from St. Michael's High school after which she attended Dominican college in New Orleans. She was a faculty member at St.

Michael's up to the time of her marriage. Mr. Dartez graduated from Kaplan High school after which he served one year in the armed forges. He is now employed by Mouton's Appliance. After a short wedding trip the young couple will be at home at 'JOG Hebert Avenue in Kaplan: Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr.

En loute home, the Gauthiers stopped in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and visited briefly with Or-ville Priestly, former publisher of the Crowley Daily Signal. and Mrs. Frances Mae LaGrange Becomes. Bride of Hugh Martin Gandy St Michael's Catholic rectory was the scene Thursday afternoon at three o'clock for the quiet hut impressive ceremony uniting Miss Frances Mae La- Grange, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mayard J.

LaGrange, and Hugh Martin Gandy, son of Mr. and: Mrs. -Hugh Gandy, in mar-riage. Rev. Father Eugene Sen-, neville officiated at the impressive double, ring ceremony.

The bride was a lovely picture inia light blue gabardine suit wprn.with a becoming black silk blOuse. trimmed in white and silver: beads. She wore a hat of white with black ostrich plume trim. Her accessories were black and she wore white gloves. A.

shoulder corsage of an orchid completed the ensemble. Paul Wild, as matron of honor, wore a toast brown satin gown styled "with a peplum edged with lace and drape-effect back. Her accessories were black and she wore a corsage of white baby mums." 'Mrs. Stanley Allemand, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaid. She wore a gray fall suit with black accessories and a corsage of white chrysanthemums.

Paul Wild served as best man, and i Stanley Allemand served as groomsman. Immediately. following the ceremony a reception was given at the home of the bride's parents. Receiving the guests with the bride and groom were Mr. and Mrs.

LaGrange, parents of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Gandy," parents of the groom. Mrs. LaGrange was charming in a black crepe gown styled with a side drape and worn with black accessories rind a corsnge of white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Gandy wore becoming rust suit with black-accessories and a corsage of "bronze mums. -As the guests entered soft pi-rtrio, music was beautifully rendered, by Betty LeBlanc of Lafayette, who played the wedding march. During the reception hours Mrs. Sam Hudson of Elizabeth, at the violin, accompanied by Ray Baggett of Ober-lin, at the piano, played "I Love You and, The reception rooms of te house-- were decorated with arrangements of yellow and white chrysanthemums and pink roses.

The bridal, table was covered with a' beautiful linen cloth and centered with a square four-tiered wedding cake topped with the miniature bride and groom and. trimmed in confection roses and Silver leaves. The cake was surrounded, with white baby mums and'' dainty fern. Chrystal candelabra bearing white tapers, which were decorated with wedding, bells, added a soft light to the.setting. After the bride and groom cut the first slice of wedding cake tn.

traditional fashion Mrs. John R. Meaux and Mrs. Lucien Ber-trand presided. Mrs.

Jack Quibo-deaux and Mrs. Ray Miller were at 'the punch service. The young couple left for Baton' Rouge where they plan to make their home. -Mrs. Gandy is a graduate of St.

Michael's High school; class of 1943., and was employed as receptionist by the Signal Publishing Company prior to her marriage. i Mr- Gandy is a Crowley High school graduate, class of 1942, served in the navy, and is now a student at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, i.
